The Modix story begins with two bright University students Ivica Varvodic and Silvio Roguljic who perused their technology ambitions as part of a student start-up. Having finished their course at the back end of the 1990’s and both passionate about technology and business, the pair began to grow a website business, eventually founding Modix in 2000.
With a growing client list of Automotive brands across Germany, Modix caught the eye of Manheim group (now part of Cox Automotive) who acquired a stake in the business in 2007 and began working with the entrepreneurial duo to scale the business within the automotive sector.
Having worked closely with the original founders for 12 years, Cox Automotive bought the remainder of the business in 2018 with both Ivica and Silvio moving away from the business in 2019 to focus on new opportunities.
Today Modix is a Global leader that provides digital retail & marketing solutions for the automotive industry – Offering global manufacturers and retailers powerful innovative online tools that captivate consumers, generate sales and secure long-term commercial growth.

Meet our leadership team
Darren leads by example and is a real people person who strongly believes in the wellbeing of our people. Sharing leadership and responsibilities towards driving a successful business around highly motivated and talented teams.
Darren has an MBA from Henley Management College, lives in Basingstoke and is happily married with three children and a dog called Lanson. He is also a bit of a petrol head having owned well over 100 vehicles in his lifetime, his favourites being his first ever car (a bright yellow Ford Cortina MK4) and his much loved Porsche 911 C4S.
Belgian by nationality but international at heart, Didier can speak 6 languages, has a passion for marketing (did we mention he has a master’s in marketing). Nothing is ever too much for Didier, a fantastic can-do attitude and a big team player.
Outside of work Didier enjoys tending to his small holding alongside his wife and son, his farm consists of 600,000 bees, a herd of unruly goats, chickens, horses and a dog. Didier also likes to run in his spare time (most likely away from his 600,000 bees)
Alison is the founder of our Women with Drive network, promoting conversation and debate about making the automotive industry more inclusive and diverse, whilst also encouraging women to dream big and follow their dreams – and she’s living proof that dreams really do come true.
In addition to her current role she is leading the inclusion and belonging agenda across Cox Automotive International.
When Alison is not working, she enjoys spending time with her 2 sons and is a keen football fan. Alison also enjoys running and recently completed her first marathon.
Antonia likes nothing more than to take to the sky and travel to exotic locations. She has spent time all over the world including the Amazon, Buenos Aires and even sailed around the Galapagos islands. Her mission is to visit one new country every year –– her goal is to keep her country visits to greater than her age! Something like 80 years around the world. (of course, Antonia is not 80)
After studying computer science at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Daniel started his professional career in software architecture & engineering in the automotive industry and for a most reputable German sports car maker in Stuttgart, which is where Daniel developed his interest in all things digital, marketing, and e-commerce.
Daniel is dad of two fantastic daughters and loves to cook – usually Mediterranean dishes for his family and friends. Despite his slight vertigo, Daniel is a keen hiker and enjoys a trek in the Dolomites of South Tyrol. (Could that be south of Westeros?) Daniel is a big supporter of his local football club FC Cologne aka The Billy Goats.
